I see tumbleweed
Lesson learned.
YIKES!! This is not good for us at all. After all the banter in the press of ‘every’ agency putting digital at the centre blah, blah, blah we have nothing to show for it creatively. Nothing.
A short list indeed.
I thought Leo’s census would at least get a shortlist.
Seems like digital is not at the centre of every agency after all.
Don’t just blame the agencies! Clients have to take some blame.
Does this mean all the specialist digital agencies have no idea?
I honestly worry for our industry when people make comments like the above. So, Australia hasn’t won any Cyber Lions. Have you seen some of the integrated work that has? Share a Coke- massive digital component- Gold. Mobile Medic- clearly cutting edge technology-multiple Gold. Last year, NAB break up started with a tweet that was all over the news. A website alone doesn’t mean much if there’s not activity to let people know about it. Just because Oz ain’t won in a digital category doesn’t mean “we” don’t get it. It’s the same when people get on here and bang on about how Oz is waaay behind UK and US and that NZ is more creative than Australia. One thing’s for sure, the Australian advertising industry is great at being small-minded and negative.
