Sydney production company 8com’s ‘WhileWeWatch’ – a doco on the Occupy Wall St movement – to premiere in New York tonight

wall st.jpg‘WhileWeWatch’ is a documentary on the Occupy Wall Street  movement. Produced by Mike Vanderfield from Sydney based production company 8com, it premieres at the Paley Centre New York tonight.

‘WhileWeWatch’ documents the OWS protest as it happened in Zucotti Park on WallStreet.

Director Kevin Breslin portrays a raw and passionate story of a group of tech savvy

people who made the world listen to them by utilising social media and basic equipment.

Breslin interviews the key players in the OWS movement, the NYPD and assorted media commentators, whilst also analysing the role social media plays in the protest.

The screening is now being hosted by Philanthropy New York with almost 50 journalists from the Foreign Press Association of New York attending. A panel discussion is currently been LIVE STREAM GLOBALLY which has just been tweeted to 3.2million people.
