Voiceless_Autopsy_01.jpgDavid Colin’s directing debut for Film Construction has already reaped rewards after his nomination last year for the Cannes Young Director Award and more recently winning the Adfest 2012 new director of the year. Colin has just picked up a Silver A-List Award for editing with ‘Factory Farming: the truth is hard to swallow’.

Voiceless_Autopsy_02.jpgThe powerful ad for Voiceless, the Animal Protection Institute reveals Colin’s skill as a filmmaker. Its evocative aesthetic and strong narrative has Autopsy lure viewers into a seemingly human autopsy where disturbing clues are given as to cause of death of a chicken.

Voiceless_Autopsy_03.jpgSays Colin: “I wanted this to be highly emotive and stylized, yet also relatable, and full of heart and soul.  It’s a gift to be offered the opportunity to partake in making a commercial that has such a potent message – it’s been a privilege to be involved.”

Having only been in Voiceless_Autopsy_04.jpgAustralia since 2007, Colin’s harks from Paris where he gained a degree in Cinema, Copywriting and Advertising. As a director who also likes to edit and find new and unexpected ways to tell stories, Colin brings a high degree of craft to his work. This young filmmaker is certainly someone to watch out for.
