The Cannes Report out now – Australia ranked #5 country; Sydney #5 city; GPY&R Melbourne’s Ben Coulson and Chris Northam ranked equal #4 CD

The Cannes Report is the definitive collection of rankings from all the shortlists and winning work at Cannes Lions 2012. The report also offers analysis on regional breakdown, country breakdown as well as detailed information on all the juries that were selected to participate in judging the 34,000 + entries Cannes received at this year’s festival.

As usual, Australia punched well above its weight, ranked #5 country in the world with 58 Lions behind the USA (190 Lions), the UK (89 Lions), Germany (87 Lions) and Brazil (80 Lions).

Sydney is the 5th most creative city in the world with 41 Lions, behind New York (100 Lions), London (89 Lions), Sao Paulo (78 Lions) and Tokyo (48 Lions). Melbourne is #16 with 18 Lions and Auckland is ranked #19 with 17 Lions.

In the Asia-Pacific region Colenso BBDO, Auckland is ranked #3, while GPY&R Melbourne is ranked #7 and Whybin\TBWA Sydney is ranked #9.
