enter_chimera_header.jpgCannes Chimera in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has announced the new brief for the 2013 Challenge – ‘Lead the fight against extreme poverty’, with entries now open until Monday, September 30th, 2013.

It’s not often you get the chance to help solve one of the world’s most pressing issues but the Cannes Chimera Initiative gives creatives the opportunity to do just that.

Change the world with two sides of paper

Cannes Chimera is an initiative from Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It gives anyone the opportunity to come up with an idea to solve a global issue and then makes the funding and inspiration available to turn the best of these ideas into realities. Find out more about the initiative here.

How can I use my creativity to make a difference?

The brief for the current Cannes Chimera Challenge is online now. All you have to do is read it and come up with an idea on two sides of paper before the end of September that solves the problem. Enter your ideas before 30 September

Then what happens?

Up to 10 winners will be honoured on stage at next year’s Cannes Lions and awarded prizes of up to $100,000 each. Most excitingly, they’ll also be flown to a special workshop session to meet with the Cannes Chimera for two days.

The Cannes Chimera is a group of exceptional creative talent, made up of previous Cannes Lions Grand Prix winners.

They will work with the winners to bring their creative visions to life. After this process, each of the winners will be eligible to apply for an award of up to $1m to help make their idea a reality.
