Borgman’s work to date shares a mature sensitivity and strong visual aesthetic. His talent as a filmmaker has been confirmed by some of the most prestigious festivals in the world.

His first film The Man and The Albatross premiered at ‘The Leopards of Tomorrow’ Competition at Locarno 2008.

His second film Lars and Peter screened In Competition at the Festival de Cannes in 2009.

His next short film Berik was selected for Critics Week at Cannes 2010 and won the Grand Prix for ‘Best Short Film’.

This year Boregman’s debut feature film, The Weight of Elephants, had its world premiere at the 63rd Berlinale in both the Forum and Generation sections.

Says Robber’s Dog managing director George Mackenzie: “One of the primary roles of a production company is to unearth and make available to agencies, new and exciting directorial talent. Daniel fits that brief perfectly and we are very pleased to have him join our roster.”
