Paul Reardon’s Cannes Diary: Day Two

Greetings from day two of the Cannes Radio Jury room. The local temperature is a pleasant 27 degrees, the wind is a gentle South South Easterly and everyone who’s not judging Radio now hates us.
Today’s repetitive themes are coffee ads, energy drink spots and ads claiming to use unique radio frequencies that can only be heard by teenagers, pregnant women or babies in utero. I kid you not.

Shouldn’t a radio jury be forced to listen to submissions over the terrible stereo of a non-airconditioned 1980’s Peugeot 504 whilst sitting in traffic on la Croisette? Also, Reardon could clearly be getting instructions from Scotty’s boat from that position.
