The Global Awards launches 2015 call for entries for world’s best healthcare + wellness advertising

2150441433193736434.jpgThe Global Awards World’s Best Healthcare & Wellness Advertising 2015 competition is now open for entries.

 

Evolving healthcare and wellness trends inspired the Global Awards executive directors Michael Demetriades and Caroline Poon to launch several new categories for the 2015 competition including Best Use of Media: Technology and Advertising to the Consumer/Patient: Promotional Marketing.

Says Poon: “The Global Awards is dedicated to evaluating emerging trends and technologies in the industry to insure that our categories mirror the constantly evolving healthcare and wellness landscape. Our new categories support the goal of the Global Awards to recognize all the diverse industries creating works for healthcare and wellness communications.”

 

New for 2015, the Best Use of Media: Technology category will honor innovation and creativity in areas including wearable technology, augmented reality, smart tech apps, patient-generated data, and other upcoming technology which will evolve the industry’s personalization of diagnostics, treatments, and preventative measures & actions for both healthcare professionals and consumers. The category showcases works leading the future of technology in health and wellness.

 

Also unveiled this year, the Advertising to the Consumer/Patient: Promotional Marketing category will recognize the variety of methods used to market to the consumer/patient, these methods empower patients and target a direct relationship with them via Patient Learning Programs, and Patient Instruction. In addition, the category will shine the spotlight on creative work showcasing CRM (customer relationship marketing), CSR (corporate social responsibility), Brand Reminders, Brochures/Annual Reports, Corporate Identity, and Product Launch.

 

As the healthcare and wellness industry continues to grow exponentially, the Global Awards created an additional new category for 2015, Business to Business: Self Promo, dedicated to showcasing agency and corporate self-promotion campaigns. This new category will recognize outstanding creative execution and strategy for self-promotion campaigns including talent recruitment, new business, and awards.

 

The Global Awards executive jury and grand jury of international industry experts, represents the top creative minds in the field of healthcare & wellness advertising. Jury members are recruited from more than 20 countries on six continents. The Global Awards jury selection process ensures that each entry is judged by renowned talent with global knowledge and perspective from the industry.

 

Each year, in addition to  the Grand Jury’s online judging sessions, the Global Awards organizes live judging sessions around the globe to review digital based works as well as collateral materials that support a campaign and which cannot be judged online. These live sessions hosted at prominent international healthcare communication agencies, allow jurors to examine in detail multi-paged works including: sales kits, direct mail, brochures, point of purchase displays, and annual reports.

 

The 2015 Global Award winners will be announced in December 2015 and will be showcased at awards ceremonies in New York City and Sydney, Australia.

 

2014’s Global Awards competition jury members recognized award-winners from 18 countries on 5 continents with 2 Grand Global Awards, 41 Global Awards and 117 Finalists. Grey Group Singapore took center stage earning the prestigious Grand Global Award/Healthcare for “Move – Human Calligraphy” for client GlaxoSmithKline/Panadol Joint and Ogilvy Healthworld Brazil earned the coveted Grand Global/Wellness for “Tattoo Skin Cancer Check” for client Sol de Janeiro. McCann Health earned /garnered the title of Healthcare Agency Network of the Year for the third year in a row and Grey Group Singapore was center-stage earning the title Global Healthcare Agency of the Year Award.

 

Entry fees for the 2015 Global Awards are: $355 USD for a single entry; $595 USD for Campaign in Single Media; $695 USD for a Campaign in Mixed Media; and $60 USD for Young Globals student entry (Entries will be accepted for the Young Globals student competition beginning in September 2015).
