The Pool Grant launches call for submissions for emerging photographers – deadline Thurs, May 4

Screen Shot 2017-04-06 at 9.56.39 am.jpgThe POOL COLLECTIVE is seeking applicants for The Pool Grant 2017, an initiative that provides $10,000 and a year of mentorship to an emerging photographer to complete a photographic project. At the end of a year, the recipient will showcase the completed series at a solo exhibition during Head On Photo Festival.

Founded in 2009, POOL’s artists created The Pool Grant to support the development of emerging talent in the industry, and have spent the past eight years acting as mentors to each year’s recipient. POOL’s artists want to help cultivate the next generation of image-makers.

The Pool Grant is open to Australian and New Zealand residents over 18 years of age and with less than 3 years of professional experience in photography.The POOL COLLECTIVE is looking to be inspired by applicants’ ideas as well as their skills.

The POOL COLLECTIVE is a creative cooperative based in Sydney comprising of seven artists working in the mediums of motion and still imagery.
