Facebook’s Kitty Lun to host ‘Story School’ at AdFest 2018 on Thurs, Mar 22, 2:30pm-5:30pm

Screen Shot 2018-02-14 at 10.19.21 am.jpgAdFest is inviting creative professionals from around the region to sign up to attend ‘Story School’ – a fun and highly interactive workshop hosted by Kitty Lun, head of Creative Shop, Greater China at Facebook.

Story School runs on Thursday 22nd March 2018 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm during AdFest 2018, which runs from 21st to 24th March at the Peach Royal Cliff Resort in Pattaya, Thailand.

According to Lun, 3,000 people from 80 brands and 35 agencies have graduated from Story School already, of whom 99% said they found the workshop “extremely helpful”.

Conceptually, Story School is designed to teach creatives how to get the most out of using Instagram Stories as an advertising platform. Lun will explain how to navigate the tools on IG Stories and to realize the platform’s creative possibilities.

Says Lun: “Story School is designed to help creatives, digital strategists and brand managers easily decide whether IG Stories will help them achieve their campaign objectives, drive brand equity and increase demand.”

Her workshop will be divided into four parts, beginning with a basic tutorial on using text and colour; to using more complex camera functions and special effects; using external apps to create ads; and concluding with a Live Demo challenge, when attendees will have the chance to create their own IG Stories.

All registered AdFest delegates can sign-up for Story School free of charge, but pre-registration is required, and seats are limited.

Lun joined Facebook in 2016 from Lowe China, where she was chairman/CEO for a decade from 2006. Here, she helped the agency achieve tremendous business growth and become the most awarded agency in China in 2014 and 2015. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award at New York Festival in 2005 and is a fierce advocate of improving the ad industry’s gender balance. She’s also the author of “Advertising Without Lipstick”, which documents her life and experiences in advertising.
