LRG__DSC5271bw (1).jpgRabbit has further bolstered the visual narrative side of its roster with the signing of director Astrid Salomon.

Salomon, a Berlin native, has lived all over the world, but has now made Melbourne her permanent home. Salomon originally started out as a photographer, shooting fashion campaigns and editorials; her work has been published in Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Interview Magazine. Then in 2013 she was invited to shoot a TV commercial for Lindt and has never looked back.

Since turning her hand to directing, she has carved out a strong visual style for herself. Salomon excels at telling emotive visual narratives with humanity and soul. Her beautiful cinematic eye is a common thread that runs through all of her work. Salomon has shot TV campaigns for Lindt, La Roche Posay, Nivea and Lidl as well as for European fashion brands such as Peek & Cloppenburg and Malaika Raiss.

Her fashion films have been awarded at major international film festivals including VAEFF NYC, Berlin, Milan and Copenhagen Fashion Film Festival.

Says Lucas Jenner, co-EP, Rabbit: “We are absolutely delighted that Astrid has decided to join the Rabbit family. Aside from being an incredibly talented director, she is also a wonderful human being.”

Says Salomon: “Moving countries can be challenging, but it is also very exciting. When I met Alex and Lucas there was an instant connection, so I am thrilled to be now amongst such talented directors in their family.”
