I wondr if Doddsy is going to apply.
Yes.
Hey that little banner for the London International Awards looks like our receptionist’s desk.
Are you proud of that Baker?
Does that make you feel like a big man?
Or you could always wait and become an honorary member, cheaper too.
I’ll be a second year vis com design student next year… I really want to be an art director. Is it possible to do AWARD at the same time as full-time study or does it get too much? Should I wait until I finish my degree?
It is a lot of work. But if you’re doing Vis Com you’ll love AWARD School. Most people work while they do it, so if you’re just doing uni you should be OK. But if you’re working as well, it could be a lot to take if you want to give it your best shot. You’re going to have to do it at some point if you want to be an AD. Great that you’re getting your design training first though, Vis Com is a brilliant course for learning the craft of AD. (You can always do AWARD School more than once if you felt you weren’t able to give it your best. As long as you’re not employed as an AD or Writer for more than 6mths.)
Thanks for your help! I think I might wait until my first year out of uni – that way I won’t have to worry about maintaining my GPA and I can give AWARD my best shot 🙂 … if I get in that is!
Is it just me or was the Award School application/brief diabolically shit this year. And not in a ‘wow, this will be a challenge!’ kind of way, just in a ‘wow, this is diabolically shit kind of way.
Anyone care to comment?
