The commercial photography event will be a preview to its three-day ‘Creative Festival’, to be held in February 2011 at Sydney’s Carriage Works and the State Theatre.

Agencies and photographers are invited to submit work to be showcased and publicized in the exhibition running from February 4 – March 12, with a private viewing on February 3.

“Commercial photography doesn’t always receive the recognition it deserves. Our industry creates some outstanding photographic work that we should celebrate. We are very happy to provide the platform to showcase such imagery through this event,” says Daniel Leesong, CEO, Communications Council.

A maximum of 20 works will be selected by ACP staff from medium-res electronic files to be submitted by November 20. Meanwhile, one ‘hero’ piece of work to front the exhibition will be chosen from work submitted before November 4. It will feature in the Oxford Street Gallery and function as the flagship work for all exhibition communications.

All selected works will be available for sale with no commission taken by the Gallery or the Communications Council.

For the photographers:

Works will be shown in sizes 1.0 X 1.2m and 0.8 X 1.0m

All works – one per photographer – are to be printed and mounted by High-Res Digital Images and mounted by Graphic Art Mount, paid for by the photographer.

Each work will be fully crediting the agency, client and photographer.
