Craig Davis, AWARD chairman calls for nominations for this year’s AWARD Committee:
Sure, you’ll need creative credentials, but mostly you’ll need to care enough about our industry to want to put something back.
AWARD is a community of like-minded and passionate individuals galvanised by the sole aim of raising creative standards in all forms of commercial communication. A community of tutors, judges, students, lecturers, winners, sponsors, members, journalists and evangelists.
Having made great progress in the last 12 months it’s time to build the momentum and AWARD is only as strong, dynamic and powerful as the people who participate in it.
We are now looking for new people to join us on the committee to play an important role in growing membership, providing new opportunities for creative talent and raising the profile of commercial creativity in the business community.
There are positions available across 4 of the 5 portfolios: Circus, Membership, Events, AWARD Awards. (Education is covered with the AWARD School Heads however if you’re interested in this area, we’d love to hear from you.) If you’ve got ideas and energy to contribute, we’d like you to nominate.
This is what you’ll need to have going for you:
You’ll have a commitment and passion for the industry. It’s a love job so you have to be prepared to make the time and effort to deliver.
You’ll be from a creative background in any of the following: agency, design, production, music, digital, fashion, architecture, photography, media.
You’ll need to attend meetings, approximately 6-8 a year and do some AWARD work in between.
You’ll need to be available for a term of up to 3 years.
And you must be a current member of AWARD (If you’re not a current member, SIGN UP HERE.
If you tick those boxes, the next steps are:
Send in your name, company and email address and a headshot
Provide 100 words or less, on why you would like to join the committee and what you think you bring.
We’ll post your details online and members will be asked to vote.
Deadlines:
To nominate yourself, please supply your info by no later than Wednesday 25 May
Voting will open Monday 30 May and close Thursday 2 June.
New committee members will be announced in June.Nominations and voting are only open to AWARD members, so if you’re keen to participate, sign up now.
