The Communications Council announces Perth as first interstate office

The Communications Council has announced the official opening of their Perth Office in Subiaco.

“Asthe first market to open a dedicated Communications Council stateoffice outside Sydney and Melbourne, this is a significant move for thecouncil and demonstrates The Communications Council’s long termcommitment to Perth” said TCC Chief Executive Daniel Leesong. “Thefocus is now providing locally driven services for our members,membership growth both corporate and individual, further development ofAdschool and AWARD School, as well as ensuring WA continues to developits industry.”

Danielle Norrish (pictured) has been appointed asWA Education and Member Services Manager and now officially joins TheCommunications Council as a national member of staff.

“Danielle’s commitment and energy over the past 12 months as local Adschool coordinator and Communications Council representative, really cemented the need for the council to take this step in WA” said Leesong. “We are very excited to have Danielle on board and are thrilled that we were able to make this significant move for the betterment of the WA industry.”

Norrish has spent the past 23 years working for some of Australia’s largest advertising agencies including The Brand Agency, Mojo Australia and HDM Mattingly as well as internationally for J Walter Thompson, London.

“This is a major leap forward for the local industry and a real signal of The Communications Council desire to be truly nationally focussed. We have a lot of exciting things developing nationally and locally – including the redevelopment of AdSchool – and this has brought a renewed sense of commitment from the current member agencies and interest from potential member agencies. Of course, this has – as predicated – been in no small part through the efforts, energy and enthusiasm of Danielle”.
