As chairman, it will be Greenberg’s responsibility to appoint the 2012 jury list, oversee the creative management of the show including the creation of its advertising and marketing campaigns, work with the jurors to help guide and direct them in their role during judging, and support the evolution and expansion of the international show, now in its 47th year.

“Being part of such a prestigious show is an honor,” says Greenberg. “It’s also a great opportunity to meet some of the best creative talent from around the world, in a beautiful location, to talk about exceptional work. What makes the ANDY Award show unique is that we judge work across every category and have the opportunity to see a breadth of campaigns and experiences.”

“Bob is an industry icon and has been a part of the ANDY family for many years,” says Gina Grillo, president of The Advertising Club and The ANDY Awards. “His reputation as one of advertising’s most creative and innovative executives, renowned for his accomplishments in the digital space, makes him a perfect choice and it is our good fortune to have him join us in this new, meaningful role.”

Greenberg has been a pioneer in advertising and communications for more than 30 years, founding R/GA with his brother in 1977 with an emphasis on design, graphics and film/video production. The agency transitioned in the mid 1990s into a multiplatform agency and has since become the digital partner for Fortune 500 companies and world-renowned brands including Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal Paris, MasterCard, Hewlett-Packard, Nike, Verizon and Walmart. As one of the most successful full-service digital agencies in the world, the company currently has seven offices around the globe and will continue its international expansion in 2011. Greenberg serves on various boards of schools and organizations: he is on the Board of The AdCouncil, Chairman of the 4A’s Digital Board and has affiliations with The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Tisch School of the Arts, VCU Brandcenter and other institutions, and has been a judge for many awards shows including the Chair of the Titanium Jury at the 2010 Cannes International Advertising Festival.

The Advertising Club is the premier organization for all communications professionals in New York. The Club, founded in 1896, offers its members a forum to exchange ideas, make connections, and honor excellence.
