Think?
I’m enjoying a much better ad in my imagination where Australians are enjoying $10 billion dollars.
22,705,942 Australians.
So what you gonna spend your $40 on? A carton of Crownies?
I’d rather have the ABC.
it’s the 10% that think….cheap at twice the price
Nicely shot. Badly written.
And I quote:
“Think? about how Australian’s would benefit from $10 billion.”
I’d rather think about proper punctuation. I mean, come on, 12 year olds wouldn’t get that wrong.
The final screen in JMK’s video stated:
Think. about how Australian’s would benefit from $10 billion.
“Australian’s” ? THE PLURAL OF AUSTRALIAN IS AUSTRALIANS.
How embarrassing for this ad agency! They get a chance to show what they can do on national TV and they can’t even get simple punctuation right! It’s so simple – I can’t understand why people (let alone professional copywriters) don’t know where to put an apostrophe and when to leave it out.
While its fun to bag them about the apostrophe or pluralisation wot about the “fact” that the ad said it costs us $1bn per year to run ABC so privatisation would give us $10BN. How did $1BN become $10BN? It is not market cap or expected sale value of ABC as it would be worth much less than that (e.g Channel Seven is worth about $2.5BN) They simply tricked viewers with “facts”
Did anyone watch the other one? That makes this look like gold.
Loud’s one was the worst thing I’ve seen in quite a while.
A huge thank you to David Deneen, Anna Fawcett and everyone at Filmgraphics for all the effort and time they gave this project.
And damn you apostrophe.
I can hear my old English Teacher saying ‘one day you’ll regret bunking off Kemsley’.
It turns out that’s today.
Well done JMK for doing a real ad, that takes the subject seriously. I’m sick of seeing toilet humour ads on the pitch. Gives advertising a bad name
nice one Matt, well deserved
Nice one matt. Well addressed.
I was just about to say well done for doing a proper ad. Then I read 11.13.
So that makes at least two of us and I would imagine a lot more.
“Think about how Australians would benefit…” but the AGENCY used Australian’s!!!!! Possessive vs. plural- come on guys, know how to use an apostrophe!!!!!
