We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial and service-oriented Global Digital Director. The role is an integral part of the Trafalgar Global Marketing Team, and the successful candidate will work with the CMO to define and execute the company's overarching digital strategy in conjunction with Trafalgar's wider global marketing objectives. They will then manage the implementation of initiatives and projects to support the strategic plan.

The role requires a well-rounded digital native - you will have a solid understanding of the online and digital marketing landscape, as well as exceptional technical knowledge coupled with demonstrable competency in managing complex development projects. You will be tasked with building and managing a current team of 9, and delivering on core KPIs related to Trafalgar's digital activity.

The role encompasses all facets of digital activity, including digital engagement (social media marketing, content management and marketing), e-commerce activity, digital design (graphic and interface design), digital direct marketing (SEO, SEM, Affiliate Marketing, Social Advertising), and web development (liaising with third party designers and programmers, infrastructure management).

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role within e-commerce / design / development / product marketing, with responsibility for strategic planning and implementation
  • Travel experience is preferable (but not essential)
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in a Technical Discipline
  • Solid, practical understanding of web marketing, social marketing, SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing channels/activities
  • Experience in web development, site and search optimization, e-commerce, content management systems, and online marketing industry terms, practices and procedures (especially with a global role)
  • Solid understanding of web technologies and programming languages, (e.g. .Net, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, SQL and APIs)
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment
  • Leadership and management experience of teams of varying sizes
  • Competency in managing the digital design process, including a keen eye for graphic design, UX and interface design, as well as web usability
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-starter who exhibits a strong sense of corporate requirements to complete multiple tasks
