Bunnings named Most Trusted Retailer and Iconic Brand in 2012 Reader's Digest survey

BunningsStore_BLOG.jpgBunnings has been named Australia's most trusted retailer for the seventh consecutive year in The Reader's Digest 2012 survey of brands.

The hardware giant was also named Australia's  most iconic brand, ahead of Dick Smith and Vegemite.

The Brand Agency chairman Ken James, who has had a long association with Bunnings and played a key part in the brand's development, was proud of the result.

In a statement to Brand Agency staff James said, "This is an amazing achievement considering it is a win over the likes of Kraft/Vegemite, Dick Smith, Bonds, Cadburys , Holden and Arnotts / Campbells. This is what every ad person worth their salt looks to achieve . From their humble beginnings in Perth to be named The Iconic Brand is a credit to everyone who has ever worked on the Bunning's account."

The Top Ten Most Trusted Brands overall were Dettol, Band Aid, Cadbury, Colgate, Elastoplast, Lindt, Betadine, Unce Toby's and Kelloggs.
