Brownes boss backs local agencies

West_BrownesStory.jpgNice story in The West Australian today on yesterday's news on the prestigious Brownes ad contract being awarded to Meerkats.

In the article, which appeared on the Media & Marketing page of the Business section, Brownes managing director Ben Purcell backs the local industry saying he was "spoilt for choice" and saw no need to contemplate using an eastern states agency.

"We don't accept that you need to go over east to get your strategy, creative ability and execution capability," says Purcell in the article.

Also nice to see the Brownes boss back three of the agencies that missed out - The Brand, Shed and Hatchd - for the talent they showed through the pitch process.
