Transperth.jpgOfficial word on the fate of the Transperth account is expected over the next 10 days, with 303Lowe tipped to win the appointment.

The Brand Agency, Rare Creative Thinking and incumbent Cooch Creative have all been cut from the shortlist with Transperth now in negotiations with the preferred tenderer.

Cooch co-founder Ron Samuel confirmed that their bid to to retain the Transperth business had been unsuccessful.

"If we had, it would have been our third successful contract period with them, which is a rare thing indeed on government business in Perth," said Samuel. "While we are disappointed, we can't really complain as we have enjoyed significant success with government business this year. The knowledge gained over 5 years with Transperth was instrumental in our appointment to the Department of Transport three months ago."
Cooch were also recently appointed to the Department of Regional Development and Lands (DRDL), account and has completed one of the largest state government communication campaigns this year - 'Royalties for Regions'.

"We'll miss working with the Transperth team, the challenges and the creative opportunities.  We're proud of the work and the results but now it's time to focus on the new opportunities we have created for ourselves."

Spoken like a true gentleman, Ron. If only all agencies were as magnanimous in defeat!
