The new App, which is accessible by searching 'The Sunday Times Perth' in Apple's App store and Android's marketplace, is free for consumer trial until the end of the year.

The digital edition is enhanced by the inclusion of social networking and micro blogging tools that complement the mobile and tablet environment.

d'Almeida (left) said that the new App provides a more complete experience for consumers and increases the value delivered to print advertisers.
"With our digital edition, we are Western Australia's most multi-platform media brand. Tablet and mobile users who don't traditionally purchase the newspaper can now access the content from our award winning journalists in the same layout as the newspaper. The new App also extends the digital shelf life of the Sunday paper. For our print advertisers, there is now increased opportunity for their campaigns to engage a new audience. It is a win-win for everyone," d'Almeida said.

In addition to the newspaper and new digital edition, The Sunday Times also has a dedicated Perth Now iPad App as well as mobile and websites through perthnow.com.au.

"When you combine these assets and consider News' national network, we have strongest commercial proposition in the state."
