Emergence.jpgWAM has formed a new partnership with the inaugural Emergence Creative Festival for the presentation of the Sync To Swim - The World Of Music Licensing panel and showcase at Settlers Tavern in Margaret River.

Music makes and breaks a mood and sync deals can make or break an artist. Sync licensing has become a serious revenue stream for music makers, no matter how popular the artist. This is a unique opportunity for West Australian musicians to enter the lucrative world of music licensing by getting up close and personal with a panel of national and international experts, including creative directors, publishers and representatives from leading marketing, syncing, publishing, television and film bodies.
Musicians are invited to submit one recorded track they feel believe is ʻlicensing readyʼ. The seven winners will receive:
• Perth to Margaret River and return transfer and one nightʼs accommodation in Margaret River.
• Feedback from an expert panel (including @ccomplice Founder & Managing Director Tobias Wilson and Timbre Group Co-founder & Chief Creative Director Danny Loong, with more to be announced) on the suitability of the track for synchronisation in film, television and advertising, all in front of a live audience.
• A paid invitation to perform at the Sync To Swim showcase immediately following the panel. With a room packed with marketing, film, TV, web and other creative industry professionals and leaders assembled from all corners of the globe for Emergence Creative, this presents an extraordinary networking and pitching opportunity.
• Discounted tickets to the rest of the Emergence Creative program.
• Submission form available from http://alturl.com/tbhxy
• Submission deadline: Monday 14 January 2013, 5pm via email to wam@wam.asn.au

Sync To Swim will happen on Thursday 21 February with the panel on from 5.30pm - 7pm and the live showcase will happen from 7pm - 11.30pm.
