Can you take The Cavanaghs' from painters to fame?

The Cavanaghs are one of the six local bands that Youngbloods and JumpClimb believe have the potential to be famous. The Cavanaghs are a very real, rare, raw talent. And, you can't help but feel their music at their live performances. This husband and wife duo radiates a rich warmth that captivates their audience.

Jamesley finds inspiration for her songs from people around her, life experiences, travelling on the road, her family and her Aboriginal heritage. They bring to the stage an original, bright folk-pop sound with a rootsy undertone.

Patient Little Sister are a brother-sister, guitar-violin duo with voices genetically predisposed to harmony. "Eliza's sweet husky vocal tones and onstage openness are endearing and engaging and, when coupled with brother James' Dylan-esque vocal phrasing and sensitive guitar playing, make for a gentle and captivating sound." - Alistair Baldwin

Aftter starting out only a year ago they have been the support act for Old Man River, The Panda Band, San Sisco, Husband, Sonspilo Circus, The Atlas Mountains, The Love Junkies, The Big Old Bears and Ruby Boots. Patient Little sister were handpicked for the Grand Finale of the Path to Laneway Competition. They were also one of only four WA acts to be invited to Adelaide this year for Fuse Festival 2012, a festival that showcases and promotes new and upcoming bands from around Australia.

So, if you think you have what it takes to make The Cavanaghs or Patient Little Sister famous get your team of up to six together and apply today. It is the last day to register. Don't forget this competition can include any person involved in the campaign process from creative, planning, media to business management.

The winning teams will be announced at Youngbloods' first gig of 2013 on February 22 at Geisha Bar, Northbridge. Everyone's invited to this party, so keep watch here for event details, ticket information, application forms and more.
