Gallagher moves up at Brainestorm Studios
Gallagher joined the Brainestorm team three years ago, after returning from London, having worked at the prestigious Wave studios.
Brainestorm founder Marty Braine said Gallagher had made a huge impact on the business since he joined and this move was recognition of that.
"Nick brought a range of exceptional skills home with him and quickly
began engineering and producing a broad range of sound sessions as well
as helping to bolster and drive Brainestorm's original music offering."
Over the last 3 years, Gallagher has written, played on and produced stand-out music scores for many of Perth's major clients including IKEA, City of Perth, Office of Road Safety, Betts, Police and Nurses and many more. As well as impressing local clients and creatives, he's had numerous nods at the National Siren Awards, won the esteemed PADC Upson Medal and was recently invited to create the soundtrack to this year's mix94.5/Channel 7/City of Perth Skyworks.
Gallagher said he has big plans for the scope of Brainestorm, continuing the local successes but with a focus on growth, expanding services and generally making the studio as 'epic' as can be.
"I love being a part of the Brainestorm team. I really enjoy the industry here in Perth and the people that make it what it is. It's great to be in a position where I can play a role in helping the studio to improve our product, our service and start to become a bigger player on a national field. I can't thank Marty enough for the opportunity."

Congratulations, Nick. I think the title of General Manager means that you now have to wear a tie to work and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing that.

The Upson Medal for Sound...wasn't that the award they used to give out at the PADC for best use of sound? Didn't see it last year, wonder if we'll ever see it again...
