Insight, inspiration and wisdom in Art & Copy

| | No Comments

Here’s something for the weekend… It’s always illuminating listening to the creators of famous campaigns talk about their work. SBS aired Art & Copy last weekend, the 2009 One Club doco featuring some of America’s greatest creatives talking about some of advertising’s greatest campaigns.

Among others, Lee Clow, George Lois, Dan Wieden, David Kennedy, Mary Wells, Rich Silverstein, Jeff Goodby, Hal Riney, Cliff Freeman and Phyllis K Robinson talk about their work for clients like Apple, MTV, Nike, Braniff, Volkswagen, FedEx and the California Milk Processor Board (Got Milk?).

While the cuts to the billboard guy early on are a little bit strange, overall the 80 minute program is an engaging, thought-provoking insight into some iconic campaigns and the people who created them.

You can catch Art & Copy on SBS On Demand until February 10.
