2013 APG Battle of Big Thinkers returns – speakers from Goodby Silverstein & Partners + Kogan Technologies held March 20 part of Circus

getfile.jpgThe Account Planning Group (APG), powered by The Communications Council, today announces the return of the Battle of Big Thinking on March 20, held on the second day of the Circus Festival of Commercial Creativity.

Tickets are on sale now for The Communications Council’s ‘Circus‘ festival, taking place in Sydney’s Town Hall from March 19-21. Follow @CircusFest2013 for updates.

 

Created in the spirit of celebrating big thinking leading to big ideas, Battle will explore the societal context within which creativity operates.

 

Hosted by rising star, comic and actor Eddie Perfect, it promises to rival previous years in terms of calibre of speakers and insights shared.

 

A selection of the confirmed 2013 Battle of Big Thinking speakers are:

 

  • Gareth Kay- Chief Strategy Officer/Associate Partner Goodby Silverstein & Partners
  • Ruslan Kogan – Founder Kogan Technologies
  • Ben Peacock- Creative Director/Founder Republic of Everyone  & Founder of Grow it Local
  • Jonathan Pease – Executive Ideas Director Tongue
  • Joe Talcott- Former Chief Creative News ltd
  • Jane Caro – social commentator, writer and Gruen panellist
  • Jodie Fox – Director Fashion and Founder Shoes of Prey

This year will see a change in categories from last year. 2013 categories will cover the key areas of Communications, Retail, Entertainment, Social and People.

Speakers will explore an idea challenging the every day, with audience members voting for the best, biggest and most inspiring idea of the day.

 

The Communications Council will be announcing the names of the additional speakers in the coming weeks.
