AdNews Awards: Droga awarded Hall of Fame; Monkeys gets Agency of the Year; Clemenger Melbourne gets Vic AOY; Clems best Network

allstaff (1).jpgThe Monkeys, Sydney was the star of the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards last night, taking home Australian Agency of the Year, plus NSW Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year, while CB’s Agency of the Year Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was named Victorian Agency of the Year and Clemenger BBDO was crowned Network of the Year.

State AOY went to GPY&R Brisbane; Direct AOY went to The Works; Digital AOY to Visual Jazz Isobar; Specialist AOY to Integer; Experiental AOY to Mango Communications; Media AOY to UM Sydney; PR AOY to One Green Been; Small AOY to 31st:Second; and Emerging AOY to Bohemia.

Dumb Ways To Die album cover.jpgAd Campaign of the Year and Ad of the Year was awarded to Metro Trains ‘Dumb Ways to Die’ via McCann Melbourne; The Game Changer Award went to M.J Bale ‘Grazed on Greatness’ via Whybin\TBWA Sydney; Media; The Un Ltd Award went to St Vincent de Paul ‘Signed Finds’ via GPY&R, Sydney; Digital Campaign of the Year went to Google ‘Build with Chrome’ via M&C Saatchi/Mark; and Media Campaign of the Year was awarded to Nike ‘She runs the Night’ via Razor (created by Us Sydney).

A highlight of the night was Lachlan Murdoch inducting Droga5 founder David Droga, who is here this week from NYC on a flying visit, into the AdNews Hall of Fame.
