The Oasis Ball: The final countdown
Only a few hours to go until the industry's biggest night of the year -
the Oasis Ball & Campaign Brief Awards. Here are a few last-minute
reminders for everyone coming along.Gettin' in
The Ball is at Crown's Grand Ballroom and starts at 6.30pm with pre-dinner drinks. Don't be late. The show gets underway around 7.00pm and there will be a shut-out for the opening sequence. In other words if you rock up at 7.1 you wont be allowed in - just like going to the theatre.
You will need your ticket and especially your red security wrist band. Seriously, security around tonight will be tight, so don't forget it or there will be tears.
Party 'til 2.00am
The formal part of the night and the After-Party is in the Ballroom, so the party's on until 2.00am. After that, well you're at Crown - plenty of other places to go if you've still got the urge.
The Raffle - Seven from Seven
Three raffle draws this year: 1 for $5,000 of Harvey Norman vouchers and 2 for $1,000 HN vouchers, thanks to Channel Seven. Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50 and will be on your table. Please buy a ticket or three. It really helps.
Gold coins
There are a few places at the Ball where a gold coin donation will be required.
There are some awesome media packages available in the Major Auction, PLUS 2 x $5,000 vouchers to the Bose Store Subiaco, PLUS 2 x Business Class tickets on Qatar Airways. This is the most important fund-raising part of the night so corporates, please bid up.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is underway right now. What are you waiting for?! Bring your phone tonight to keep abreast of how your bids are faring and your credit card to collect your item if your successful. Auction closes at 11.00pm tonight.
Art Auction
Some super pieces of artwork donated by some very talented folk from our industry - like this fabulous picture by SHED's Matt Ridley. Isn't that sensational?! In all, 21 pieces have been donated. Bidding sheets at the Ball.
Remember, it's for our charity - The Salvation Army's Crossroads West program for youth at risk. It's a great cause run by some truly inspirational people who depend on our money to keep some of their work going. Be generous.
And last but not least, keep safe. Make sure you've arranged to get home safely because we
want you all back next year.
