CraigDavis_BLOG.jpgIn a mutual release, Al Taylor, Chair of The Communications Council (WA), Spencer Battista, President of the Perth Advertising and Design Club and Craig Davis (left), Chair of AWARD, have announced a joint partnership between AWARD powered by The Communications Council and the PADC.

The affiliation arrangement will provide each industry body reciprocal rights on respective committees and ensure the PADC and TCC work together to build and support industry education, member value and development of industry events and participation.

In a major first step for the affiliation, the PADC award categories will now align with AWARD Award and will result in recipients of the PADC’s top gong, the Golden Skull, receiving automatic entry into AWARD Award. A first for a state based club.

Chairman of AWARD Craig Davis said “this affiliation comes at an important time for AWARD as we look to strengthen the organisation through community development and leadership. Providing a platform for the WA creative community to be recognised nationally is a critical part of our mission to set standards of creative excellence and inspire the next generation. We look forward to working with the PADC to inspire, connect and educate our WA community.”

Further, the PADC will benefit from the significant TCC committee base to drive support for key PADC events and the PADC will provide valuable direction in the development of education programs for the rapidly expanding AdSchool.

TCC (WA) Chair Al Taylor said: “We have been working on this for a while and it is wonderful that we now have formalised the arrangement. To have the PADC actively contributing to the TCC and to be able to assist the PADC in the growth and development of creativity in WA is fantastic. Plus, to have us now aligned with the national awards can only provide further opportunity to nurture creativity in this state.”

Partnering with The Communications Council as well as aligning our award entries with AWARD will ensure the Club remains relevant to the industry in Perth, nationally and internationally, now and in the future.”
