briefcase.jpgAt the 2013 Cannes Creative Festival, Carlsberg gave twenty creative teams a briefcase full of material, a one sentence brief, 30 minutes and a camera crew to showcase their creativity and ideas.

Dubbed the #BriefcaseSessions, creative teams were given the time it takes to drink a bottle of Carlsberg to create, develop and pitch their idea straight to camera.

Briefs included “Make your daily commute more inspiring,” and “Make recycling into a sport.”

And now, the top four have been chosen by a panel of experts from Carlsberg and experts from various creative disciplines, and will be put to public vote. Simply, whichever gets the most likes on YouTube will win a pair of VIP tickets to Cannes 2014.

Brainchild of Daria Rasmussen, senior digital communications manager at Carlsberg, Cannes 2013 was the first time the Briefcase Sessions have been held.

Says Rasmussen: “The Briefcase Sessions create a framework where people have to think differently, creatively and above expectations. The briefs posed tackled serious issues but people were encouraged to combine humour with their creativity to generate original ideas.

“With this campaign we wanted to engage more in the influential creative environments. Instead of preaching, we would rather have Carlsberg in the background, supporting and facilitating a framework where creative people can test themselves and create stories with us.

“This isn’t the last time you’ll see the Briefcase Sessions. They will continue to evolve and we are planning on using them at future events.”

The finalists have now been uploaded to YouTube and it is up to you to decide which one you think hits the spot. So head over to www.youtube.com/carlsberg, check out the four videos and vote.
