The news comes 10 days after the Labor Party sacked Naked after it has been caught offering ”exclusive” interviews with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in exchange for free pro-Labor advertising and editorial on youth websites.

Wilson was one of the co-founders of Naked Australia, and is also one of the most respected and well-liked people in the industry.

Says Wilson: “After nine of the most amazing years of my life, I’m leaving Naked. In the nine years we’ve had a number of achievements, winning a few Cannes Lions, several Agency of the Year awards, and loads of Effies. However, what I’m really proud of is the culture we’ve created and the very talented group of people that made Naked what it is. I will leave with many fond memories of the good times, great work and business success we have hcreated along the way.”

Says Adam Ferrier, co-founder: “Mike’s a champion bloke, and will be missed immensely from the Naked family. He leaves with our full support. I’d also like to thank him for his hard work over the last nine years – he’s helped build a brand that is admired by clients and competitors alike.”

Wilson leaves the company in the hands of a management team that includes Ferrier and managing director of Naked Melbourne Tom Ward, as well as managing director of Naked Sydney Karla Pritchard.

A search has begun for someone to join the team. During tthis period of transition, ex-Clemenger group executive director, Tim Parker, has been brought in to partner with the Naked management team.
