Meerkats appointed lead agency on Synergy account following competitive creative review

mike&ronnie.jpgCampaign Brief hears Meerkats has built on their pre-Christmas REIWA win and acquisition of all of PEET's digital work, with the agency about to be appointed to the Synergy account.

The appointment, which is still to be ratified by the CEO of Synergy, follows a competitive pitch last week which involved incumbents 303Lowe and The Brand Agency, plus several others.

It is thought the appointment will see Meerkats consolidate the above the line, below the line and digital parts of the business which previously were divided between 303Lowe and The Brand Agency. Whilst 303Lowe misses out completely, The Brand Agency has been retained on Synergy's vendor panel and will still carry on working with the client.

More details when the appointment is confirmed by Synergy.

Credit to the Kats, but Brand are claiming they're still doing the digital, so the client press release will be interesting.

I think you will find that CB got the scoop on this and released the news before the client had the chance to let the incumbent agencies fully know the details. (Note the rewrite yesterday "which is still to be ratified by the CEO of Synergy.").

Brand will be retained on Brand projects but the vast majority will be consolidated with Meerkats.

That has to hurt after all the work they put in over the years
