Clemenger BBDO Melbourne leads the Aussie agency pack at Shortlist stage of Film Lions
Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne leads the Aussie pack at the Shortlist stage of the Cannes Film Lions.
Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne was shortlisted three times: one for Tetley ‘Leaving’, one for Melbourne International Film Festival ‘Potato Peelers’ and one for BUPA ‘The Moment’; Publicis Mojo Sydney made the shortlist with its highly fancied Hahn Beer ‘Super In. Super Out’ spot (which amazingly missed the cut before being brought back in by Aussie Film juror Scott Nowell from The Monkeys, Sydney). DDB Sydney was shortlisted for Tiguan ‘Cross Country’; Colman Rasic Sydney made the cut with MTV Exit ‘MK Ultra’; and Leo Burnett Sydney made the cut with Census ‘Spotlight’.
Clemenger BBDO, Wellington made the cut with New Zealand Transport Agency ‘Flying Objects’; Publicis Mojo was shortlisted for Greenpeace ‘Oil on Canvas’; Special Group, Auckland for the Axis Award Show opening film ‘The most creative country in the world’.
A world total of only 257 spots made the Film Shortlist.

We’re deluded.
We’re a year behind working with the directors that won last year Lions thinking we’re breaking new ground with old tools.
The way to win is to do original work with new talent that you discover. Not hoping that some ego will polish your turd.
Better luck next year.
