Adam Ferrier.jpgAdam Ferrier, consumer psychologist and chief strategy officer at cummins&partners is set to curate the Marketing Science Ideas Xchange (MSiX) event on Wednesday, July 30th – Thursday July 31st at The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.

MSiX is the first event of its type in Australia dedicated to the interface between behavioural science and marketing. The conference will demonstrate why behavioural sciences in general, and behavioural economics in particular, is making such strong headways into advertising. MSIX promises to be a mix of theory and practical examples, all housed within a fun and interactive ideas exchange environment.

The conference on day one aims to explain how to apply the principles of behavioural science to marketing campaigns and why it is the industry’s next big opportunity. The workshops on day two are designed to apply learnings to solve real-life marketing problems with expert facilitators.

Highlights include a keynote from Ogilvy Group vice-chairman Rory Sutherland, as well as a presentation from well lauded creative Paul Fishlock. Fishlock will be discussing the value in creatives adopting the principles of behavioural economics.

In a world of tighter budgets and more accountability, the behavioural sciences are identifying what does and doesn’t work, and just as importantly, why. The marketers and agencies who are adopting the principles of marketing sciences to what they offer are experiencing genuine competitive advantage.
