Kids-Instructions_M1_SVP.jpgThe Communications Council’s Account Planning Group has today announced the shortlist for the 2014 APG Creative Strategy Awards, with 27 from a total of 99 entries gaining a finalist spot.

Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney leads the way with three finalists, followed by Leo Burnett Melbourne, DDB Group Melbourne, AJF Partnership Melbourne, M&C Saatchi Sydney, Leo Burnett Sydney, and JWT Sydney – all with two finalist spots.

Authors will now progress to a second round of judging led by chairman of judges, Mike Daniels. ‎Founder of The Behavioural Architects, an insights and strategy consultancy that applies Behavioural Economics to behavioural change, Daniels previously spent more than 20 years as a planning director at agencies that include Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Clemenger BBDO, DDB, and Ogilvy & Mather, where he also became managing director.

Says Daniels: “Congratulations to all of the finalists, this year’s entries demonstrated a high level of original and creative thinking. We are looking forward to hearing more about the analytical and strategic thinking behind the execution of these outstanding advertising campaigns. We will be particularly interested in how these campaigns have helped drive beneficial behavioural change for clients.”

Finalists will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate, through a final presentation, how unexpected ideas have been used to successfully impact their client’s business. The best in show Grand Prix, along with Gold and Silver awards and a number of special prizes, will be awarded on 10th December at a dedicated ceremony at The Beresford Hotel in Sydney.

The APG Creative Strategy Awards are supported by Warc.
