Bam_WebAwards2015_BLOG.jpgBam Creative was awarded in seven categories at last night's state awards announcements for the Australian Web Awards. The Australian Web Awards, held annually since 2005, recognises outstanding work by Australian web designers and developers.

"Australian developers, designers, content producers and other web specialists are among the world's best, producing outstanding work. It's not easy to win an Australian Web Award," said Ricky Onsman, one of the Judges at this year's awards.

"Entrants are held to very high standards and have to satisfy some very demanding conditions. The sites that do make it through to final judging are already all winners, and to some extent it's the list of finalists that tells you who is producing the best websites in the country." he added.
Bam Creative picked up more awards than any other Western Australian entrant, with seven awards, in the categories of:
• Personal  -  Go4Travel Blog (www.go4travelblog.com)
• Commercial  -  Craigcare (www.craigcare.com.au)
• Small Business  -  Go New Zealand (www.newzealand.com.au)
• Startup  -  6Q (www.6q.io)
• Not for profit  -  Smarter than Smoking (www.smarterthansmoking.org.au)
• Social media  -  This Farming Life (www.facebook.com/ThisFarmLifeWA)
• Social media  -  6Q (www.twitter.com/team6Q)

"We have always really valued the Australian Web Awards, as it is a program in which our work is judged by our peers" said Bam Creative principal, Miles Burke. "Whilst our focus is always on producing the best work for our clients, it is a nice side effect when this work also picks up recognition nationally".

The projects are reflective of the diverse work that Bam Creative produces. From aged care service provider, Craigcare, to travel website Go New Zealand, technology start-up, 6Q, to Facebook farming community page This Farming Life, and not for profit Smarter than Smoking.

"These wins are our tenth year in a row of being awarded at these web awards, which is a humbling yet satisfying experience" said Patima Tantiprasut, Studio Manager and Director. "Every year the talent these awards uncover is exceptional, and this year is no exception" she added.

Run by the Australian Web Industry Association, The Australian Web Awards showcase outstanding work by Australian web designers and developers. Their purpose is to promote the industry, to champion web standards, to acknowledge excellence and to provide marketing advantage to companies working at the highest level.

Besides Bam Creative, other multiple winners included Humaan (6), JuiceBox (5), The Brand Agency (3), and Clever Starfish and CVW (2 each).
