Dav Tabeshfar.jpgCampaign Brief hears JWT Perth’s creative director Dav Tabeshfar has resigned and will be forming his own creative consultancy.

Tabeshfar had planned to leave JWT at the start of the new year but to ensure a smooth transition will stay on until a replacement is found.

He has been with JWT for nearly 3 years, joining in April 2013, soon after the agency set up in Perth, partnering with Doni Savvides to lead the office, and look after inaugural client, RAC.

Since then the agency has picked a number of new clients including LWP Property Group, Homebuyers Centre, Central Institute of Technology, the WA Police Union and City Farmers.

Prior to JWT Perth he had worked at 303 Lowe, as well as freelancing both in Perth and the eastern states.

Savvides has confirmed that J. Walter Thompson has appointed a new creative director, and will be making an announcement in the coming weeks.

Says Savvides: “We’ve had great success over the last couple of years under Dav’s creative direction, and myself and the team are grateful for the contribution he’s made. We wish Dav all the best in his next venture.”

Says Tabeshfar: “It’s been a big three years. We’ve made some lovely work, seen our clients grow, brought in some decent bits of business and had a laugh along the way. I am enormously grateful to the J. Walter Thompson family for the experience, and to our bold and brilliant clients for the trust they have put in us.”
