BRAND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (MATERNITY COVER) - SYNERGY

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, an exciting opportunity has become available to join our marketing leadership team based at our Head Office on St Georges Terrace, Perth on a 12 month maternity leave contract.

Your key accountabilities will be to:
  • Create a strong retail brand that positions Synergy as the first choice for energy in WA
  • Maintain a strong and 'always on' brand presence that leverages paid, earned and owned media channels
  • Build brand relevance and deeper customer and community engagement via strategic sponsorship and events
  • Manage customer communications during contentious events to preserve Synergy's brand integrity and reputation
  • Manage, execute and optimise the retail brand strategy via deep understanding of brand performance and retail strategy, including the development and execution of effective brand campaigns
  • Own and continually reinforce the brand style guide to ensure a consistent communication and creative framework for through the line communications
  • Manage Synergy's brand expenditure, ensuring brand investment achieves positive ROI,
  • Manage and build Synergy's external agency partnerships
Our ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
  • Bachelor degree in communications, commerce or equivalent
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Significant experience in brand strategy, management and execution of marketing communication and campaigns within a large and iconic brand
  • Experience in managing retail sponsorships, events and proactive PR opportunities
  • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management during contentious periods
  • Strong implementation skills
  • Understanding of media and creative industry trends, tactics and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting and trusted relationships with external partners
In addition you will have a strong customer focus, with proven stakeholder management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to improve productivity and produce quality outcomes for our internal customers.
