Over 800 people from the Western Australian Advertising and Media industry were at the spectacular new Crown Towers Ballroom on Friday night for the 2017 Oasis Ball and Campaign Brief Perth Awards.

An excellent all-round performance in 2016 including some big new business wins saw The Brand Agency named Agency of the Year, while 303 MullenLowe led the creative awards with Best of Year in 4 of the 9 categories.

VESCO_IncredibleStuff_BLOG.jpgVesco Foods won Campaign Brief's prestigious Advertiser of the Year for its courageous 'Made Of Incredible Stuff' campaign featuring Turia Pitt for its Super Nature brand (left). The award also comes with a $5,000 airtime package from sponsor hit92.9.

Advertising Person of the Year was awarded to Carat's Adam Marshall, who led the media agency to its most successful year to date in 2016.

Other award-winners were:

Helen Filov Media Agency of the Year - OMD.
It was a clear win for OMD in this award, which is voted for by the senior sales directors of WA's media.

Media Organisation of the Year - Nine Entertainment Co.
Nine roared up the list from 10th last year to stop Southern Cross Austereo's three-consecutive-years run at the top in our poll of Perth's media planners and buyers.
2017_Challenger_Supernova_BLOG.jpgChallenger Agency of the Year - Block.
It was two in a row for Block, which continues to produce some of Perth's most interesting work with a small team creating, collaborating and managing projects across a range of client requirements.

Supernova of the Year - Natalie Salinovich, Initiative.
The Supernova of the Year Award recognises outstanding young people who have the potential to be the future leaders of our industry. Initiative's Natalie Salinovich is already leading some smart work for major clients at her agency.
