Success for Community Newspaper Group at 2017 PANPA Awards for Newspapers

Community Newspaper Group has flown the flag for West Australian titles at this year's PANPA Awards, bringing home three of the state's four trophies from the 2017 Newspaper of the Year Awards and the 2017 Advertising & Marketing Awards. 

Photographer Andrew Ritchie was again recognised for his outstanding work behind the camera, with his striking image Fire Breathing Spider (above), taken at last year's Arcadia event at Elizabeth Quay, being named best Community photo in the Features and Lifestyle category at the Newspaper of the Year Awards.

CNG's Marketing team took top honours twice at the Advertising & Marketing Awards. 
The Joondalup Weekender's sponsorship of the City of Joondalup's Summer events series was named Sponsorship of the Year for Community titles, while the group's Sox n Jox for Homelessness Week campaign was named Best Cause Related or Community Service Campaign for Community titles. 

The City of Joondalup sponsorship saw CNG proudly partner with the City to help deliver another suite of high-quality events for the community over the summer. This long-standing partnership plays an integral role in CNG's commitment to local community engagement. 

The Sox n Jox campaign saw the company teaming up with Shelter WA and 882 6PR for a collection drive as part of Homelessness Week WA, which resulted in hundreds of donations being received.

Community Newspaper Group Chief Executive Officer Paul Eteen-Bliss (pictured) said he was extremely proud of the company's achievements, which have further cemented the company as an integral part of the local community.

Community Newspaper Group is also extremely proud to have been part of the nationwide #SnapAustralia campaign, which was named Consumer Campaign of the Year for Community titles.
