Migliore exits Initiative to join 303MullenLowe's MediaHub Australia as General Manager, Media

René Migliore (pictured) will join Mediahub Australia, 303MullenLowe's media arm, as Perth General Manager, Media, from November 22. Mediahub is the global media agency aligned to the MullenLowe group, voted most creative media agency in the US last year.

Migliore brings over 20 years experience in advertising and marketing roles at agencies in Perth and Melbourne, and will work across Mediahub's growing portfolio of clients. 

His appointment signals a return to the MullenLowe network, having spent over seven years with the agency (then 303LOWE) as Head of Business Management, departing in 2013. He joined SHEDcsc, where he was Managing Partner, and joins Mediahub from Initiative, where he was Communications Planning Director working with the likes of RAC and Cancer Council WA to help develop highly integrated campaigns. 

"I've spent most of my career working in creative agencies in client service and strategy before making the switch to media two years ago, which I'm finding really exciting and creative. Joining a media agency that's part of a creative agency is a perfect opportunity for me," said Migliore.
"I'm also excited to be coming back to work with Derry [Simpson, Group MD], Rich [Berney, ECD] and Al [Taylor, Chairman]. We produced so many great campaigns together during my first stint at 303, so I'm looking forward to coming back to help them establish Mediahub as Perth's most creative media agency." 

It's a welcome senior appointment for 303MullenLowe in Perth, after the recent departures of Head of Digital, Peter Liddell, and Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics, Brad Hyde.

The pressure will be on Migliore to re-establish the Perth agency's position in media, which it has struggled with since Clive Bingwa left in September 2014.

The agency has enjoyed some recent success, with long-term client Edith Cowan University re-appointing Mediahub and expanding its remit to include digital media and strategy.

"René brings a wealth of experience to Mediahub and will play a large part in our plans as we continue to grow our offering both digitally and strategically," said Andrew Livingston, Chief Media Officer of Mediahub. "Having recently won ECU's digital business, we're hiring experienced thinkers like René to enhance the performance of every idea we execute right through from the creative idea to performance optimisation and everything in-between."

Simpson said they were delighted to welcome Migliore back to the 303 family.

"René combines the perfect blend of creative thinking and media experience, which will help guide the growth of the business."

It's the fifth hire for Mediahub in Perth, with Sasha Neame joining as Digital Media Director; Bec Oliver joining as Media Director; Lucinda Kitney as Media Planner/Buyer; and Ali Mackellar, Digital Media.
