West Australian digital agencies dominate at 2017 Australian Web Awards winning 7 of 9 categories

Humaan_2017WebAwards_BLOG.jpgWA-based agencies have dominated the recent Australian web awards, with local agencies having 51 of the 79 finalists and winning seven of the nine categories.

The charge was led by Humaan (pictured), which had 16 finalists and won six categories: eCommerce (Sodashi), Commercial (ONiA), Small Business (Humaan), Not For Profit (Fremantle Arts Centre), Innovation (Your Great Space) and the McFalrlane Prize for the best website (Sodashi).

Creative director and co-founder, Jay Hollywood (far left), said the result was testament to the Humaan team's hard work and commitment to quality.
"We always try to reach for better in everything we do; better outcomes, better engagement, better practices, better technology. Everyone in the team is passionate about delivering quality work, and bringing home recognition at this level lets us know we're heading in the right direction."

Equlibrium, Campaign Brief WA's reigning Digital Agency of the Year, won the Government category (Department of Transport 'Your Move') and had three other finalists.

Other WA-based agencies with finalists included Alyka (2), BAM Creative (7), Blake Digital (3), Clever Starfish (2), Club of Aces (1), Dux Digital (1), Feral Brewing (1), Juicebox (7), Media On Mars (2), Open Copy (1), 303MullenLowe & Water Corporation (1) and the WA Museum (1).
