Bonfire's Rene LeMerle named Chief Marketing Officer of the Year at 2017 AMI WA Awards

Western Australia's marketing professionals gathered at the Flour Factory recently to celebrate the 2017 Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Awards for Marketing Excellence in WA.

Amongst the winners, Rene LeMerle, Head of Marketing at digital agency Bonfire, was named CMO of the Year. Bonfire also won awards for Data Driven Marketing and Advertising, and Small Budget Marketing.

LeMerle, has been immersed in the digital landscape since 1997, and is passionate about helping companies embrace digital marketing and innovative technologies to evolve their business. His remit includes Bonfire's brand management, strategic planning and execution of the agency's marketing activities. He's also a key driver of digital innovation across the company and the offerings it delivers to its clients. 

The AMI Awards for Consumer Acquisition Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Marketing Communications: B2C and B2B were presented to Australian property development company, Stockland.
Contemporary Art Gallery and Cultural Centre, Gab Titui Cultural Centre, and Tourism Western Australia were also honoured with two award wins each. Gab Titui was recognised with the awards for Brand Revitalisation and Public Sector Marketing. The award-winning work was developed by The Hub.

"Winning these awards clearly demonstrates that we punch well above our weight and deliver quality marketing and business outcomes for our clients across Australia," said The Hub Managing Director, Nicolle Jenkins. "We are proud to represent Gab Titui Cultural Centre on Thursday Island. This year, both national and state AMI award judges assessed a record number of nominations across 28 categories.
