Water Corporation and The Brand Agency bring a splash of colour to the South West

Water Corporation's art program Splash of Colour has transformed public infrastructure in the  South West of WA into vibrant pieces of community art. The program aims to spark the community's imagination by bringing Water Corporation assets across Australind, Bunbury, Busselton and Dunsborough to life through water and environmentally themed artwork.

Eight local professional artists were engaged to run workshops with students from Australind Senior High School, Bunbury Catholic College, Busselton Senior High School and Cape Naturaliste College to help them develop the concepts for their designs.

The Brand Agency was approached to bring the program to life through a series of videos that shared the workshops, concept and painting process with the community. The videos can be viewed on  Water Corporation's Instagram and Facebook pages.

"We had a great response when we commissioned a mural on our wastewater pump station in Withers, so we wanted to expand throughout the region and bring these structures to life," said Water Corporation South West Regional Manager, Nicky Waite.
"We understand some of our assets are highly visible and we were excited to work with students to turn them into bright and vibrant pieces of public art we could all enjoy. The program will complement the work local Councils have undertaken in recent years to transform public spaces."
