An Aussie or Kiwi going to Cannes this year? Don’t miss CB’s Curious Cannes Cocktail Party
Early indications suggest there are well over 300 Aussies and Kiwis going to Cannes this year – proving the dark days of the GFC are well and truly over. CB hears delegate numbers worldwide are up more than 50% from last year with more seminars and events at Cannes 2011 than ever before.
Apart from those officially registering as delegates, there are even many non delegates, as well as expats from all corners of the world.
CB will be hosting a Welcome Cocktail Party for the Aussies and Kiwis on Monday evening, 20 June, 2011 – kindly sponsored by trans-Tasman production company Curious Film – and we will be emailing out invites soon. Special guests include the Australian, NZ and Asian jurors and several prominent creative directors from around the world. If you are an Aussie or Kiwi going to Cannes, let Lynchy know quick to secure your ticket: michael@campaignbrief.com
CB will also be co-hosting other, invitation only, events during the week, details soon. As a reminder of what fun it was at Cannes before the GFC hit the fan, Watch the 2008 CB Legendary Colombe d’Or Lunch video

Says Garth Agius, group director marketing: advertising and integration at News Limited – Australia’s Cannes representatives: “We’re pleased that Australian judges have been selected on twelve of the main jury panels, up from nine judges selected last year. The increase in the number of Australian jurors in 2011 is a nod to our media and creative industry recognising that we have some of the best talent in the world.
“It’s also a real honour to have an Australian juror for the new creative effectiveness category, and a jury president in the promo and activation category. Judging at Cannes means mixing with some of the best talent in the world and we’re sending a great cross section of experienced and talented individuals,” he said.

Ezzaaaaaarrrgghhh!!!!
I’m curious about that picture of the guy and the chick in the pool. Who are they? Looks like fun.
The guy is Eron Broughton, CB Pool Party, Cannes 2006. He dived in to selflessly save the life of the stripper who’d just plonked herself in the drink. Not sure what his reward ended up being.
Such a selfless act deserves a quick squeeze at the very least.
Strippers and pools, best combination ever!
Best. Teaser Photo. Ever.
The photo of Furby must have been taken well before the turn of the century. Deep from the archives we’re guessing. The expression is the same, however. Too bad we won;t be seeing much of it on Radio.
Eza we miss you.
that was a sick villa and a great party
They were both great great parties at that villa.
Lyncy – post some pictures of CB Cannes parties of the past.
That pic never ceases to amaze me.
Babe, swimming pool, sunshine and a bit of Tony Montana living for a week no doubt, sounds fun.
