The PADC has announced UK based Ben Akers as this year's Diamond Skulls Patron. Akers is the Founder and Creative Director of the behaviour change agency Made With+

In over 20 years in the advertising industry he has worked at some of the world's most creative agencies including Mother, HHCL, BBH in London and Droga5 in Sydney. But in 2011 being creative wasn't enough and he joined the sustainability revolution at Republic of Everyone and began to use his evil powers for good.

After 6 years in Sydney he returned to the UK to write and direct (the now multi award winning) documentary Slowing Down Fast Fashion presented by Alex James, which is now on Amazon prime. Since then he's continued working in ethical and sustainability led projects, concentrating on behaviour change, and creating campaigns and documentaries that are good for world.
Akers has won over 50 international awards including Cannes Lions, and D&AD and One Show Pencils. His work includes getting Vanilla Ice to say "Sorry" for Virgin mobile - setting an (unofficial) tweeting World Record for V Australia - as well as taking a Hot Potato van around Australia, to change Aussies opinion of Asylum Seekers for the ASRC and creating the social media campaign #SmearForSmear.
