Nine Perth's Managing Director, Clive Bingwa, said the announcement makes another addition to the numerous high-profile community events Nine supports and promotes throughout the year.

"Nine Perth is extremely proud to be aligned with such an iconic community event, which attracts 250,000 people to the Perth foreshore," said Bingwa. "We are looking forward to bringing a new level of energy and innovation to the Perth Skyworks, further enhancing WA's premier public event."

The Australia Day Skyworks announcement comes after the Nine Network has secured the free-to-air television broadcast of Australia's summer of tennis, which includes Perth's Hopman Cup and the Australian Open. This follows Nine's new broadcast partnership with the National Basketball League, featuring the highly competitive Perth Wildcats.
