Angus Hennah to replace Andrew Fraser as JWT Sydney ECD, Pete Ogden to ECD of JWT NZ

Pete and Angus-web.jpgCurrent JWT New Zealand creative director Angus Hennah (left, with beard) will be replacing Andrew Fraser as JWT Sydney executive creative director, effective October this year. As a result, Peter Ogden (far left) has been promoted from deputy CD to ECD of the New Zealand office.

Fraser is departing JWT after twelve months as ECD. Says Fraser: “I’vereally enjoyed my year at JWT Sydney and I know the creative team willthrive under Angus’s stewardship.”

 

Hennah has spent the past three years as ECD of JWT New Zealand – and is widely credited for turning around the now highly regarded Creative Department.

“Angus has been highly respected by our team here in Sydney and across the network for sometime now. He’s a proven leader – one who consistently delivers great work. He’ll slot in nicely to JWT Sydney,” said Noel Magnus, CEO of JWT Australia and New Zealand.

“And you know, it’s particularly nice to reward someone within the network” added Magnus.

 

Hennah’s pedigree is extensive. He’s worked at Clemenger BBDO in Sydney and Wellington; made the top ‘Workers’ list in Campaign Brief’s The Work every year since 2004 – and was the lead Creative on NZRU’s winning Rugby World Cup 2011 Bid.

 

Hennah’s work has been recognized at all major local and international award shows including; Clio, One Show, D&AD, AWARD, Axis, Effies and Cannes – including a Silver Lion at Cannes for the Ford Mondeo Balloons viral in 2008.

 

Prior to taking up the Deputy CD role at JWT New Zealand, Ogden workedat DDB Sydney for over ten years after beginning his career in the UK,spending ten years at Bates and BBDO. Ogden’s work has been recognizedat D&AD, One Show, Clio and AWARD.
