A question (intended in the spirit of open and honest debate).
How many of these nominated ads were main game, business depends on its success, advertisements?
Certainly not zero (VB?), but the overwhelming majority are really for bullshit clients or charities or for work that was of no commercial significance.
A total waste and indictment of our industry and talents.
monkey’s for the win!
Not that I disagree with 12.47 in there being a big amount of bullshit awarding for clients of no significance. But the above list actually seems quite genuine – Canon, the New Zealand government, the Australian government, Toyota, Peugeot, Fosters, Lion Nathan, Ikea, Earth Choice (not a big name brand, but I’ve seen this TVC getting played quite a lot).
12:47 – Well….Canon, Ikea, James Boags, VB, Toyota and VB all seem like brands I’ve heard of. And some pretty goddam good work for all of them. So chill out.
David The Situation is flying high!
I think there are more finalists to come. Radio?
Nice one Monkeys and The Sun Sound.
Wow Lynchy, no big headline on the Clio finalists. Is that because others did better than Droga5 on this one.
Didn’t know they had been announced until today!
Two new categories announced their short lists today.
